Due to the overwhelming success of the program, King County Metro Rideshare Operations and Washington State Department of Transportation will end Fill it Up, Again! on September 30, 2008.
Participation in King County Metro's VanPool and VanShare programs have experienced unprecedented growth in 2008, thanks in part to an increase in gas prices and increasing congestion throughout the region. Because our actual growth has more than doubled our projected growth, our budget for Fill It Up, Again! has run out sooner than expected.
All vanpool and vanshare participants who properly complete their registration at www.rideshareonline.com/fillitup by September 30, 2008 and meet the eligibility requirements will be eligible to receive awards. The Fill It Up Again! website will close on October 1, 2008 to new registrations; existing registrants will be able to log-in to check the status of their awards.
If you’ve ever considered getting in a vanpool or vanshare, now is the time to do it. Through September 30, 2008, those who join a vanpool or vanshare can get great rewards including:
- $50 for new vanpool or vanshare riders
- an additional $50 for new vanpool or vanshare drivers or bookkeepers
- up to $250 for recruiting new riders ($50 per recruit)
On top of these rewards, employees living or working within the Redmond city limits are always eligible for additional cash bonuses through the R-TRIP program (www.GOrtrip.com) for using any alternative commute, including vanpool and vanshare.
